VISIRIA 4.0

The VISIRIA 4.0 projec aims to create leading edge  vision technology and establish a constant stream of information that enables any industry to improve its production processes, thereby achieving zero-defect manufacturing.

VISIRIA 4.0 is developing a novel high-performance, wide-spectrum, sensor that operates in the 400 – 1700 nm range. In this regard, the application of photonic technology will facilitate the automation of error detection in a non-intrusive and continuous manner. This technology will be validated in two relevant industries: knitted textile manufacturing and silicone mold plastic injection.

VISIRIA 4.0 promotes a zero-defect manufacturing Industry 4.0 by implementing predictive control processes, automating the manufacturing process control, reducing defects and waste, saving raw materials and benefiting the environment.
